Why does this matter for my business?
Your customers now ask ChatGPT for a recommendation before they call anyone, the same way people started with Google 20 years ago. It names a handful of local businesses and leaves the rest out. If you are not named, that job goes to a competitor and you never hear about it. This shows you whether it is happening, and how to fix it.
Why doesn't ChatGPT recommend my business?
It recommends businesses it can find and trust online. It reads your Google listing, your reviews, the directories in your industry, and your website. If your listings are incomplete, your reviews have gone quiet, or your site does not clearly say what you do and where, it recommends the businesses that do those things well instead. Most of this is fixable.
Does it matter which AI tool my customers use?
Yes. The assistants often disagree about who to recommend. In our tests it is common for one business to be named by Perplexity and missed by the other three. Do I get the same answer every time?
Not word for word. AI answers vary a little each time, in the same way search results do. That is why we keep checking regularly and show you the trend rather than one snapshot. We also save the exact answers behind every number in your report, so you can see the evidence yourself.
How long before I start showing up?
We can't promise a date, and we would be wary of anyone who did. What we can do is show you what to fix first and re-check every week, so you see exactly when your changes start to move your score. Assistants that search the web as they answer, like ChatGPT and Perplexity, can pick up changes to your website and listings sooner than ones that answer from what they learned in training.
